Mishelle joins us as the Community Aged Care Manager and will be working across Frankston and Thomastown.
Mishelle will be establishing and implementing our Aged Care Program.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Mishelle Brewer, and I have recently been appointed to the role of Community Aged Care Manager for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. You might have seen me wandering around (I am the one with the walking stick).
Just so that it is out of the way, I have a walking stick because I was in a boating accident and sustained damage to my back and hips, I try not to let it slow me down too much, and while slower, I can do most things, so I am pretty good.

My background is Psychology and Social Work, and I have spent the past 28 years working in the Aged and Disability Sector both for Government and Non-government organisations.

I am very excited to be with FPHW and be at the start of this journey with you all.
I am passionate about advocating for individuals to be able to receive services that are needed when they are needed and have picked up a few tricks along the way to help this along. I have said to a few people I have been around for a long time, have seen a lot of changes, and am anticipating the next huge change to this space by 2027.

Personally, I have travelled around Australia, travelled to 27 countries overseas, love being outside and in water and will spend most of my weekend snorkeling at Frankston or further down around the bay. My car is usually full of sand, or when the weather is not on my side, I have my nose stuck in a book, any variety all types from classics to non-fiction action suspense.

I am looking forward to getting started and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
