Big news! First Peoples' Health and Wellbeing receives grant for a new clinic in Thomastown, expanding services and fostering self-determination for our communities.
First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing are very excited to announce that we are one of 13 successful applicants of the Aboriginal Community Infrastructure Program and have received a grant to purchase a new property in Thomastown, enabling us to relocate and expand our services. As of Friday, 14 January 2022, FPHW became the owners of a new clinic space on Settlement Road, Thomastown. This is another big step towards self-determination, social and economic development and cultural safety for our organisation and local communities we care for and work with. The new space will allow us to provide community with a fit-for-purpose clinic increasing services such as primary health, pathology, mental health and wellbeing, physiotherapy, and introduce dental health services.. We are currently working on refitting the space and will be sure to share updates as they happen. We would like to thank Minister Gabrielle Williams MP and her team for the opportunity to continue to deliver and increase primary health and social and emotional wellbeing care to community. This project is supported by the Victorian Government through the Aboriginal Community Infrastructure Program.
